On Sunday November 9, 2025, at 3 pm, Trinity Lutheran Church, Pasadena, will host a celebration of choral music centered around Bach’s cantata Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme. Trinity’s Chancel Choir will be joined by the Lift Every Voice Choir from Abiding Grace Lutheran Church, Southlake, Texas.

The performance of Bach’s cantata specifically will be the product of a broader collaboration, between Street Symphony, Tesserae Baroque, students from the Colburn School Conservatory of Music Baroque Ensemble, under the direction of violinist Vijay Gupta (Street Symphony/Tesserae Baroque). Additionally, the choirs of Trinity and Abiding Grace will present choral anthems.

The collaboration between Trinity and Street Symphony is especially meaningful, as both organizations share a commitment to serving the unhoused communities of L.A. county. This performance will be presented as a free offering for the local community, providing a celebration of joy, compassion, and inclusion.
